Material Estimating Guide For
POL-E-BASE Roofing System

#80 Primer is a solvent based black primer used under #460 POL-E-BASE and #500 STICK TWO.  Apply #80 Primer over the entire roof surface with a roller or brush at the rate of 200 square feet per gallon.  POL-E-BASE or STICK TWO may be applied over the #80 Primer after 2 hours but not more than 8 hours later.

#500 STICK TWO is a non-reinforced roll of rubber and synthetic resins that is self adhering on both sides.  It provides excellent bonding to irregular primed surfaces.  Use at the entire perimeter of the roof including eaves and above cants, at all corners and around roof vents.

#460 POL-E-BASE is a self adhering membrane used as a base for the built-up roofing system.  POL-E-BASE is a unique formulation of premium grade resin modified with synthetic rubber and reinforced with POL-E-FORCE which provides an excellent substrate for acrylic coatings.
Net coverage (including a 2" lap) 122 sq. ft. (24" x 67") 188 sq. ft. (36" x 67")

#160 POL-E-FORCE is a polyester reinforcing roofing fabric that is strong yet conforms to irregular surfaces.  Use 4" POL-E-FORCE over all lap seams of POL-E-BASE, at all areas where STICK TWO and POL-E-BASE surface lap and as mummy wrap for all vents.  Estimate 70' of 4" POL-E-FORCE for each 36" x 67" roll of POL-E-BASE used plus the amount needed at the perimeter and the vents.  The 6" and 12" POL-E-FORCE may be needed above your cant area when coating a parapet wall.

#600 FABRIC SATURANT is an acrylic liquid emulsion used as a saturant and adhesive for POL-E-FORCE fabric.  To determine the square footage to cover, add to the total square footage of the POL-E-BASE surface all POL-E-FORCE fabric used, including the seams and counter flashing at the parapets.  Apply #600 at the rate of 100 square feet per gallon.

#1300 WHITE PLASTIC is a liquid acrylic emulsion that cures to a tough, flexible waterproof membrane, #1300 is an elastomeric product with an exceptionally high acrylic solid content.  #1300 WHITE PLASTIC is applied to the entire surface at the rate of 100 square feet per gallon.

#1300T WHITE PLASTIC is white as compared to off-white #1300.  Use as the top coat on roofing applications when a more reflective surface is desired.  #1300T WHITE PLASTIC is applied over the #1300 as a finish coat at the rate of 100 square feet per gallon.
