REEMAYŽ spunbonded polyester is a high strength material used as a reinforcing fabric in cold roofing mastics.  Composed 100% of continuous filament polyester, REEMAYŽ offers the roofer a new material with unusual physical and chemical properties, replacing fiberglass mat or organic roofing felts.

COATINGS

REEMAYŽ has been successfully used with a variety of cold roof coatings, including:  cut-back asphalt, asphalt emulsion, acrylic emulsions, and recycled rubber roofing system.  The coating manufacturer's instructions or specifications should be followed for optimum results.

In addition, REEMAYŽ exhibits high resistance to splitting and cracking from thermal shock, low temperatures, freeze/thaw cycles, folding/creasing and rough handling.  Unlike fiberglass, it is non-irritating to the skin.

WATER AND ROT RESISTANCE

REEMAYŽ spunbonded polyester maintains its physical properties when wet and is dimensionally stable during humidity changes.  It does not rot after burial in soil for 5 years, REEMAYŽ retained all of its original properties.

TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE

REEMAYŽ is a thermoplastic, and can withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 350° F (177°C).  For short periods, it can withstand exposure to 400°F (204°C).

FLAMMABILITY

REEMAYŽ is listed by Underwriter's Laboratories, Inc. as a Class "A" material when used in the prescribed manner on non-combustible decks
